Artist Bio

After a series of accidents and medical complications reshaped both my body and my abilities, my artistic practice underwent an unexpected transformation. One lasting change was a dramatic sharpening of my close vision, allowing me to perceive extraordinary detail—sometimes down to micro‑printing on a single grain of rice. At the same time, physical limitations made it impossible to continue working with the large, heavy installations that once defined my studio life.

What could have marked an ending instead became a turning point. I shifted toward work that embraces precision, intimacy, and the quiet rewards of close attention. This new direction reflects not only a change in scale, but a change in perspective: a commitment to noticing what is easily overlooked, and to creating pieces that invite viewers to slow down and look more deeply.

My practice now lives at the intersection of adaptation and discovery. What began as loss became opportunity, allowing me to redefine my process, my materials, and ultimately my artistic voice.
